The first year of retirement

My first day as a retiree was spent at  Real, Quezon, Philippines. It was January 30, 2010 and it was my father's 84th birthday. Really enjoyed it, though I didn't get to swim that day. But, I cherished the morning sun, the afternoon nap, seafood for lunch and dinner, moonlighting at the beach and karaoke at midnight.  What a lovely day.

This is our favorite spot in this resort in Real, Quezon. It's so peaceful there, having your drink (whatever it is, for me it was coffee), and enjoying the wild waves of the sea. The scent of the sea water was so refreshing and relaxing, I almost fell asleep. Good thing I had coffee.  Words really, cannot describe the feeling , knowing that finally, you will never have to go to work.

This is my favorite afternoon nap spot hahahaha!  I think I slept here three times already. Our family really like the place because of its location and the accommodation is superb. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Though, the beach is not really perfect for swimming or snorkeling, we really like the place anyhow.

Another view at the right side of the resort where the huts can accommodate a bigger group.

Just beside my favorite afternoon nap spot.

To this date, I am still enjoying being retired.  For one whole year, I had just enjoyed waking-up late, jogging at Tiendesitas at C5 or SM Marikina, cleaning the house, getting rid of clutters in the house, gardening, shopping and many, many more.

Next destination, the North of Luzon.
